Established by Warren & Chris Hellman and their children in 1994, the purpose of the Hellman Fellows Program is to support the research of promising assistant professors who show capacity for great distinction in their chosen fields of endeavor. WebHellman Fellowships are open to early-career faculty in a broad range of academic disciplines, and can range from $10,000 to $70,000. In 2024, after 25 years of funding the program, the Hellman family generously established an endowment to allow it to continue in perpetuity across UC’s 10 campuses.
